The short walks group 'Happy Wanderers' will:

• Only walk from April to October
• Walk NO MORE than 3 miles
• Try to arrange walks requiring no more than a 30 minute drive
• NOT avoid hills, but will try to avoid long steep sections
• NOT avoid stiles but try to avoid too many
• NOT plan walks to always end at a pub/café, though this may happen from time to time
• Walk at a gentle pace
• Cancel if weather is too bad

Even during April to October some of the walks are likely to be muddy, so it is important that you come with boots or strong, suitable shoes. Everyday light shoes will not be suitable and would be ruined very quickly. It is also important to wear, or bring, a waterproof coat or anorak.

Details of each walk will be sent out about 2 weeks before the due date. The dates and details are set out below but please note that the programme may change due to adverse weather, health or other reasons in which case walkers will be notified as soon as possible.
