These trips normally involve a coach journey to interesting towns, houses or museums. For more information contact the trip organiser.
Future trips are shown below, booking will open about 3 months before the trip date when further details will be added.
Important information for all trips:
- Trips are only open to u3a members, priority is given to full members of Thame & District u3a.
- Tell the trip or event organiser that you want to book a place, you can do this at one of our regular meetings or via email. You can click on the organisers name on the event page to send them a message via the website or alternatively you can contact a committee member through our contacts page. Bookings are only taken from 3 months before the trip. Please do not make any payments until the organiser has confirmed your place.
- Further information about each trip can be obtained by clicking the links below. This includes payment details.
Reminder: From 1st January 2026 payments by card will incur a 50p surcharge to cover the additional transaction costs. - The full cost of the trip is payable no later than 3 weeks beforehand. There will be no refunds except in exceptional circumstances (such as a hospital appointment or attending a funeral),
- When you pay make sure you use the announced "reference" in the bank transfer and tell the trip organiser and our treasurer (treasureru3a.tad@gmail.com) that you have paid, this helps with our administration.
- If you change your mind let the organiser know as soon as possible. Many of our trips run with a full coach and there is often a waiting list. Letting the organiser know you're not going means the place can be offered to someone else.
- You MUST provide details of someone in case of an emergency. The organiser and other members cannot take on this role.
- Please bring a fully charged mobile phone with you so to ensure reliable communication throughout the trip in case plans have to change at the last minute.
- Parking for trips is available at at the Rugby Club for £5 per day (payable in advance). If you plan to use this please let the trip organiser know and remember to collect a "Parking Badge" to display before boarding the coach and please return it at the end of the trip. You can also park in the town centre and use the Town Hall pickup point. Please note that there are various time restrictions in the town centre car parks. Some have pay and display so please make sure you pay for sufficient parking for the whole day.
