A day out in Verulamium or St Albans as it is now known. There is plenty to see and do, the Cathedral, the Clock Tower (external viewing only) it has a museum and gallery, there's the Verulamium Museum (entrance £6 concessions, not included) and the lovely Verulamium Park as well as shops, cafes and restaurants, see the Visit St Albans website for more ideas. Sopwell Nunnery (Lee Hall) ruins to the South of the centre are Tudor and have links to Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII
