Pétanque…a social group that plays pétanque.

Pétanque is played a great deal in France. Individuals or small teams compete to toss a metal sphere closest to a small target sphere. It is usually played on a prepared outdoor pitch of loose small gravel. It is rather like bowls but not on such a manicured surface!

We meet on: First Tuesday of the month, 11.00am - noon ish at Cuddington Playing Field, Bernard Close, Cuddington, HP18 0AJ.

It is “pay as you play.” Just bring £1 when you attend, to cover the contribution to the playing field committee.

There is plenty of parking and lifts can be organised. No experience is necessary and equipment is provided.

Usually around 18 folk come along. We play for an hour and then many of us retire to 'The Bell' in Chearsley for a drink, chat or a spot of lunch.

We have played monthly since January 2022 and have only been rained off once!
Come and join us for a fun game in the great outdoors. There is always room for a few more.
